Our favorite local legendary professor,
Dr. William Gudelunas,
will return to
the Library to visit United States History
from post-WWII to the assassination
of JFK. He will be joined by his son,
Dr. David Gudelunas
of Fairfield
University, who will discuss the impact
media had on these presidential terms.

Professor Penny Rivin
The Middle East
The Middle East may be far away, but the
events and issues that develop there have
an impact on the entire world. Professor
Emeritus
Penny Rivin
will provide us
with an understanding of this region and
its role in international politics.
Formerly a newscaster for CNN,
Professor Rivin did her graduate work
at the University of Missouri-Kansas
City, and became a Middle East
specialist and social historian. She
recently retired from College of the
Desert, where for ten years she taught
World Civilization and World History
classes.
