The Who, Wear, and When of
Fashion
In this lecture,
Susan Stein,
Fashion
Editor of
Palm Springs Life,
showcases
stories and styles of how trends shaped
fashion’s powerful evolution. From
antiquity, society has shaped fashion.
Why have there been so many changes
throughout history, what has inspired
these changes, how do they influence
us today, and since
nothing
is ever really
new in fashion...what
is
new?
This program is in honor of Ladda Toelkes.

Hemingway’s Women
Nancy Sindelar, Ph.D.,
continues
with her second lecture in a four-part
series on Ernest Hemingway. In this
presentation, she introduces you to
the women Hemingway loved and the
influences they had on his life and work.
Nancy Sindelar’s collection of rarely
seen photographs and excerpts from
Hemingway’s letters to parents, wives,
lovers, children, and friends provides
fresh insight into these relationships.
This lecture is made possible by a generous gift
from Nancy and Tom Cunningham.
