SUMMER READING CLUB 2021
You may have heard teachers speak about the “Summer Slide,” but did you know that kids lose up to 20% of the reading gains that they have made during the school year?
The best way to avoid these losses and to help kids retain their new reading skills is to keep reading during the summer. A great way to keep kids reading and help them find new books is to participate in the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory’s Summer Reading Club.
Starting June 1, sign up for our virtual Summer Reading Club through Beanstack. When you create a Beanstack account for yourself or your family, you’re instantly connected to our reading program, so you’ll get credit for every minute and every page. It’s free and no Library card is needed!
