The Rancho Mirage Library & Observatory Foundation is a tax exempt 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to raising the necessary funds to maintain the Library’s status as the best for its size in California. The Board is comprised of energetic and involved individuals that are appointed by the Rancho Mirage City Council and who are committed to maintain the Library for all ages and interests.

The Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory Foundation welcomes your support in its fundraising efforts. Our Library is the new model for a 21st century community library. The support we receive from individual donors as well as businesses, private organizations, and other foundations, is what makes the difference in our ability to continue to provide the programs and services so vital to our community.

Your tax-deductible donation to the Foundation funds the immense breadth and diversity of programs and services offered to you throughout the year: Classic movies, documentaries, nature & science lectures, concerts and musicals, the Summer Reading Club for children, art exhibitions, availability of on-line tutorials, eBooks, access to audio and DVD collections, and access to the Library’s outstanding book collection. 1,200+ books and periodicals are checked out each day!

The Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory Foundation qualifies as a charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). Contributions to the organization are tax-deductible. Federal taxpayer ID # 27-3559025.
