Gourds: A Canvas for Art
Anne Winchester
and
Darlene
Atteberry,
the Winberry Gourd Artists,
create striking art using a variety of
gourds. With a background in design,
Anne Winchester began working with
gourds four years ago after attending
an international gourd festival when she
realized that her love of design could be
applied to this unique medium. Darlene
Atteberry’s background is in multimedia,
but in working with gourds, she has found
a way to express herself through hands-
on art.
This exhibit will be on display in the
David Bryant Lobby Showcase from
October through December.
