Judy Wexler, Jazz Singer

Widely known as a straight-ahead jazz
singer as well as an inspired interpreter
of lyrics, vocalist
Judy Wexler
has
garnered rave reviews and numerous
fans across the country and around
the world.
Her fourth CD, “What I See,” was
released in September 2013 to
universally excited reviews. Following
an interview with Susan Stamberg on
NPR, Ms. Stamberg exclaimed, “From
the evidence, Judy Wexler can sing
almost anything.” Her solid reputation
for craftsmanship and the emotional
immediacy of her singing combine to
thrilling effect in her spirited repertoire.
J. Scott Beaty, Pianist

Originally from Rochester, New York,
J. Scott Beaty
began studying piano
at the age of three. He graduated
from St. Edwards University in Austin,
Texas, and then pursued a career as a
pianist, actor, and model. In 1988, he
came to the desert to perform at the
Ritz-Carlton and later, the McCallum
Theatre, where he has been a pianist
for 19 years.
Prompted by the encouragement of
Placido Domingo, Mr. Beaty accepted
a scholarship to Longy School of Music
in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where
he graduated with honors in 2008,
earning his Master’s Degree under the
direction of Ms. Donna Roll.
