J. Scott Beaty, Pianist

Originally from Rochester, New York,

presidential pianist

J. Scott Beaty,

pianist,

began studying piano at the

age of three. He graduated from St.

Edwards University in Austin, Texas,

and then pursued a career as a pianist,

actor, and model. In 1988, he came to

the desert to perform at the Ritz-Carlton

and later, at the encouragement of

the late President Gerald Ford, the

McCallum Theatre.

Prompted by the encouragement of

Placido Domingo, Mr. Beaty accepted

a scholarship to Longy School of Music

in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where

he graduated with honors in 2008,

earning his Master’s Degree under the

direction of Ms. Donna Roll.
