Title: Bookstore Inventory Associate
Supervisor: Bookstore Manager
Job Description: Bookstore inventory associates shall provide services to maintain the inventory of the store, including but not limited to
- Receiving books and other items from donors,
- Recording, sorting, and evaluating such items,
- Preparing items for sale or other disposition, and
- Placing inventory in store for sale.
Time Commitment: At least 2 hours per week for 7 months.
Qualifications: The qualities desired of the volunteer include:
- Ability to carry books and to stock shelves.
- Ability to recognize and arrange books by type and also by value.
- May also include the ability to identify and appraise books of unusual value, and to market items on the Internet and at other book sales.
Training Time: One hour, and continuing in the store.
Evaluation: Continuing review.
