ORAL HISTORIES:
The Library produces the Oral History of Rancho Mirage Through Its Residents. This is a series of videotape interviews with residents as they share their special stories about earlier times in Rancho Mirage and their recollections and experiences in the Coachella Valley. In the first series, Virginia Waring, Howard Richmond, Bill Marx, Marilyn Glassman, and Marjorie Anderson share some of their remembrances about the early days of life in Rancho Mirage and the valley communities. It is anticipated that additional oral histories will be recorded and added to the collection. You may search the oral history videotapes in the online catalog by the words or phrase “Oral History,” or browse the video collection 979 ORAL.
