Supporting Your Library
The Rancho Mirage Public Library Foundation welcomes your support for its fundraising efforts. Our Library is outstanding, recognized as the best Library for its size in California. The Library has long thrived on its private/public partnership. Early gifts from the Annenberg's and others provided the land, a portion of basic infrastructure, furnishings, and much more to the Library that you know, use, and love.
Your gifts fund the Library's extraordinary calendar of events | The Library's Summer Reading Club for children | Books and eBooks that build the Library's outstanding collection | Managing the Book Nook | Sponsoring Concerts | Providing new IT opportunities | Sponsoring the online Homework Center | Supporting audio and DVD collections | Sponsoring art exhibitions
Create a... Literary Legacy
Create a... Literary Legacy offers you opportunities in New Naming at a variety of gift levels, opportunities to support your special programming interests, and opportunities to fund portions of the Library's book and media collection that match your interests in history, the arts, sports, fiction and more.
An earlier naming initiative identified building spaces that were successfully dedicated. Expanding on those opportunities allows for more people to have a permanent space namedin the Library. Plaques will be placed on the item named or at the entry to the space named.
The Library offers a world-class events calendar that rivals arts and cultural center venues. Sponsoring an event or annual series of lectures, concerts, theater or film is a very special gift of a season of outstanding performances for as many as four hundred people in a major program.
The Library’s season includes art, film, lectures and a summer full of events for children... all part of the programming life of the busiest Library in California. Naming a series for a full year is a wonderful tribute and a memorable gift to our community.
Naming a collection is a gift that grows, as books are added on an ongoing basis. One to three books will receive bookplates and when a collection is named, the donor’s name or name of person being honored will be mounted to the Library’s wooden stack end panels, very clearly displaying an enduring legacy.
Throughout the Library, individual chairs may be named. Consider creating aLiterary Legacy while adding to the comfort of Library patrons every day.
