Film Screening: Lonesome Dove

Looking for a cool place to spend the hot summer nights? On consecutive Wednesday evenings beginning July 11 at 6:15 p.m., return to the Old West with the hit television mini-series Lonesome Dove (1989) based on Robert McMurtry's Pulitizer prize-winning novel. Robert Duvall as Augustus McRae, a "wore-out ole Texas Ranger" and Capt. Woodrow F. Call (Tommy Lee Jones), drive a herd of cattle and "a mess of scratching, scrawling cowpokes from the Rio Grande clear to Montana." Altogether enjoyable!

Wednesdays, July 11, 18, 25 & August 1 at 6:15 p.m.
