the American Documentary Film Festival
continues with a series of entertaining
and informative documentary films which
are highlights from the 2014 Festival.

cinéma verité and a special peek into
the hidden world of five cashiers who
work the same shift in a supermarket in
Tel Aviv, Israel.

Wednesday, July 9, 7 – 8:30 p.m.
Featuring action, romance, comedy, and
drama, the 1926 film
The Great K & A
Train Robbery
stars Tom Mix, the most
popular Westernmovie star of the 1920s.
In this silent classic, Mix performs all his
own death-defying stunts as he portrays
a detective investigating a series of train
robberies. After enjoying an introduction
by film historian
Christopher Perry,
experience this film the way it was meant
to be seen and heard, with authentic live
music and sound effects performed by
the Photoplay Ensemble.
The Laurel & Hardy 2-reel silent short,
That’s My Wife,
will also be screened.
